Welcome to Stronger Spirit! I am happy you are here. Stronger Spirit is a program that promotes vital energy for good physical health, mental wellness and a “stronger spirit.” The notion of a strong spirit comes from the Chinese principle used in the Martial Arts of a “Strong Fighting Spirit.” While we may not have a Martial Application for our Stronger Spirit program, (although we most certainly can!), we are working on strengthening our spirit to meet any opposition that we may encounter in our environment, or, in our own mind.
We recognize and acknowledge that you have made it this far in life in order to be reading this, thus your spirit already has its strengths – perhaps you are not aware that it does, or, you feel it could be stronger. If you are not aware of your strong points, just remind yourself of all you’ve been through and of your resilience. However, if you are like most of us, you feel as though you could have done this or that differently, and perhaps you attribute past actions to not having been “strong enough.” Maybe you are facing some type of adversity now, and feel you need more strength of spirit to navigate through the days or months to come.
Balance
Our world seems out of balance these days. Just look at the news – people are stressed out – and there is no indication that the general human condition is likely to change anytime soon. But what CAN change is us; how we see our world, how it sees us, how WE see US, and how we manage our relationships, responsibilities and environment.We can’t control the world – control is largely an illusion anyway – but we can, to a significant degree, regulate and improve ourselves by making alterations in our nutritional intake, perhaps even adding vitamins, minerals and supplements. We can also practice Qigong. “Strong Spirit Qigong” is the focus of this website, and as we develop various programs, Qigong will play an integral and primary part in them to build a stronger spirit and create a better life.
Stronger Spirit is neither diet nor exercise
Stronger Spirit is, however, based on nutrition, movement and mindset – incorporated into your everyday life. Because Qigong is calming and fun, it is an activity to look forward to. The nutritional piece is simply moderation, fresh foods and some helpful guidelines tailored to your individual needs – your body will tell you what you need as you become more in-tune with it. The movement is Qigong – slow, pleasant, gentle strengthening, stretching and breathing – with enormous benefits. Because this is energy-work too, there are often quantum effects – with exponential results. I would love to share this knowledge with you.
